Meet Walter Ego

We all know that working on the internet can be a pretty crazy experience. For example, this weird guy with a ton of manic energy stopped by a couple months ago demanding a review gig. I chased him away after he started flinging dvds at me frisbee style, but just couldn't get the little troll out of my head. His name was Walter Ego and he had insisted that he was a unique critic who deserved to be seen. Listening to him rant on about films and fern bars, I had to agree, at least with the unique part. We wrestled with what to do with Walter here in the IFC nerve center. We drank coffee and remembered the slightly crazy kid from high school; you know, the one with the M-80s in his pocket that nobody took seriously? Then we drank more coffee, swore we would never eat another corn muffin and decided to give Walter a chance. So, in honor of the many thousands of film critics who publish on the web, especially the ones who use proper punctuation and grammer, we officially launch Walter Ego At The Movies.
